John Seale

John Seale first became interested in birds as a boy in the English countryside, and has maintained his interest since then. He is active in a Cairns bird club, and often leads bird watching excursions to the Cairns Esplanade, where he is joined by the many overseas visitors who come to Cairns to see migratory waders, endemic species, and special visitors such as the Paradise Kingfisher. John believes the Cattana Wetlands are an excellent habitat, and provide a good bird watching experience. With a pair of binoculars and a bird identification book, John recommends you “keep your eyes open” and look for waders, finches, storks, ducks, cormorants and geese.
